Heeeey Trudy!!!!!!! You know the eye thing must be some sort of optical trick. I took zillions of shots of this critter … she was very easy going and not at all spooked by the giant blonde monster with the black thing in its face. I took shots from all angles … and no matter where I stood the “eyeballs” were staring right back at me. Including directly overhead!!! LOL!!! It makes for some pretty hilarious images .. When I walked by, Katy didn’t even flinch. I took the dogs in, got the camera, switched lenses and dashed back out. She was still there, munching away … so I settled in and we had a nice little photo session. I honestly think the word is out in my garden. All the toads and butterflies and bees and bugs that have been kind enough to pose for me so prettily, lol!!!! What other explanation is there???

Oh, it’s SUCH fun!!!!!!!!! Don’t let it drive you crazy though … mine did at first. I only have the 60mm … and getting in close was making me lightheaded and dizzy from holding my breath!!!! LOL!!!! Mind your aperture … try it at about f/13 at first and see if that isn’t your sweet spot.
