Actually I usually keep my newest stuff up front … but decided to shake things up a bit as I haven’t been here as much in the past week or two. As to the basics and ooomph, I think everyone hits the wall every once in awhile. That’s one of the reasons I mix my styles up as much as I do. I like bouncing from one type of shot to another … and one type of processing to another. I’d go crazy if I shot the same kind of thing all the time or processed the same way all the time … but on the other hand, I really admire people who specialize and really hone their skills. It’s all a very individual thing, isn’t it!!

Ric you hit the nail on the head when you said … you can express yourself in the way you want … that’s sooo key. Dependent on the individual shot and the mood IT wants … dependent on your mood when you took the shot … dependent on your mood when you decided it was worth working on … it’s all a variable. But when it all comes together … there’s nothing more satisfying!!!! Interesting you should mention camera clubs. I found one locally and was all set to join up … but am holding back. Not sure why except that I adore the freedom I have right now to experiment and flit all over the place with style and subject. I’d hate to get constrained into an environment that adheres to strict “rules” ... I mean … I KNOW the rules … but I use them as guidelines. Guess I’m a bit of a rebel-loner, lol. Sounds like your experience with your camera clubs was … questionable??
