My Aunt Alice, God rest her, had a fabulous porch swing .. in the days before air conditioning, the Washington summers can be rough … and the evenings on the porch, swinging, brought a wonderful coolness. Joanne, your comment just makes my day … to know that something that appeals to me brings back a happy memory to someone else is a wonderful reward!!!! Thank you, sweetheart!!!!!

Yes, my mom used to make these things by the zillions … after her eyesight went she really couldn’t do the close crewel or needlepoint any more, but the crocheted afghans she could still manage for a long time. Not ashamed to say, I’ve made a few myself in my time, lol!!!!! This particular one, with all the colors, just looked so pretty to me!! So glad you enjoyed it too!!! Hugzzz!!!

Oh, Renee, yes let’s!!!! You know, I thought I had a good shot of the whole building, but I’m not happy yet … will have to go back and try again … and when I do I want to add a little history of this wonderful place. It was an inn, back in the day!!! When you see all the wonderful add-on rooms your imagination will just go wild!!! And they have merchadise in the upstairs rooms, which used to be guest rooms … ALL of which have beautiful fireplaces!!!!! It’s SUCH a great place!!!
