May I say that even as a washed out snapshot taken by little me when I was only trying to record my memories of the trip of a lifetime, it still had “mood.” I think my playing around enhanced that. So cool that you noticed the flowers, too … I “painted” them in my new Corel Paint program … which I’m very slowly learning how to use. Thank you … this one is another done with the little Olympus point and shoot. The hdr in Photomatix can sometimes really surprise me!!!! This is one example … it was actually taken in broad daylight … but somewhere along the way it decided to be a night shot, lol!!!! Oh well … sometimes it’s fun to just go with the flow!!!

Dear Sonia … please forgive me for not seeing your wonderful and kind message before now!!! Heavens I apologize!!! As to the colors … I do love strong color!! Among the things I did on this one was a trip to Photomatix for hdr and then into Corel Painter 11 for some touching up on the flowers. I hope that was helpful!! Leigh … my apologies for missing your lovely note earlier!!!! Thank you so much … yes, the point and shooters can do a beautiful job if they’re on the right settings, lol!!!!! Unfortunately when we were in the Med I was clueless, camera-wise, and anything that came out was more due to good luck than anything else. Since then I’ve learned a bit about Photoshop so have been able to rescue some of the better composed images. The flowers were tinkered with … painted … in Corel Painter … I’m glad you liked them!!! They were especially fun to do!!!
