Oh, sweetie … I don’t have a studio … maybe someday, but not yet. When you see shots like this of mine, it’s a function of the steep grade in my garden, which we terraced, and time of day. The shafts of sunlight really tear through in mornings and evenings.

Hiiii Jayne … it’s all about the light!!! My garden is on a slope that we terraced and faces west (not good for roses, but good for fun flower shots!) and in the early morning the sun, on a good day, comes through in an almost visible streak. When I can catch the flowers in the beam of light, it’s such a joy!! And to have a butterfly poised on top … it’s just good luck!!!! Well … good luck and being there for a pretty good amount of time practically every morning, lol!!!

Oh, wow Jayne … that is short!! We’re in Maryland and things start coming up out of the ground in March. April sees the wonderful daffodils. And we can have roses and mums all the way through September, maybe October. Maybe later?? I’ll have to take a look at your Breck’s Gardens!!! And a lily tree???? WOOOWOOW!!! Never heard of such a thing!!!! Sounds fabulous!!!!!
