Dear Lee!!!! My heavens, that is hot!!!!! We get spells like that here (Washington DC metro area), too, in summertime. And ooooooh … the humidity!! I HATE it!!! Thank heavens for air-conditioning!!! I grew up in a day and age before AC was as common as it is now, and I vividly remember the loooooong hot summer days, hoping for a breeze and a thunderstorm to blow it all away!!!!! Hi Colleen!! Thank you sooo much!! I agree … the older structures … there’s an ALMOST visible something there that attracts those of us who care to look closely. The camera sometimes brings it out!!! I’ve shot this particular place on several different occasions … the late day light really adds so much. The branches leading the eye to the house … oh, how I wish I could take credit for that … but I was honestly just trying to get the house and the slope of the hill and the shadows without the branches being in the way. Only when I put the image onto the computer did I realize what the branches were doing!!!! As my daddy used to say, sometimes it’s better to be lucky than smart!!! LOL!!!! Now, you’ll have to go shoot YOUR old farmhouse!!! And let me know when you’ve posted it!!!!!
