Jayne, thank you so much for your note on this one. I think of all the landscapes, dog shots, flowers and bugs, I really love still life shots best. If you could have seen me, early morning, setting this thing up three days in a row, then scooting the table across the room to keep the shot in the sunlight, you’d laugh ‘till you cried!!! But even with all the tinkering with the pieces (and eating the toast and pears and cream when everything went bleh) it was still Rosalie’s Vintage Effect that put the finishing touches on this one!!! SO MUCH FUN!!!

Oh, Christine, bless your heart!!!!! Well, the funny story behind this one is it took up three whole mornings to finally get down to this one shot. We were having some glorious sunny mornings … and each of the three days I set up a small table with the coffee things … right in the direct light from the window. And organized the pieces and shot and reorganized the pieces and shot … about a million times. And all this with that hated tripod, too, lol!!! The sun would move, and I’d have to scoot the table over … it was hilarious!!! I was like someone obsessed!!!! I’d jump out of bed in the morning, go make the coffee and start shooting (still in my paajamas!!) all over again!!!! Point being … still life shots … at least for me … don’t leap out of my brain fully formed. They take a lot of tweaking. I’ve got another super idea for one that I’m waiting for the right light to start working on. But the arrangement of the pieces I don’t have down yet. Trial and error!!!
