One of those things in the house that we see all the time and that always bring a good feeling … but that we really only notice on a subconscious level … but there they are … bringing us an inner smile every day!!!
This was my mom’s schefflera plant … which I’m doing my best to keep healthy and happy here in my little kitchen!! Image taken October 9, 2007 with the Olympus C-5000 zoom.

Well that raggedy old mirror has great texture and provides such wonderful contrast to the foliage and its shadow! Excellent capture! It is easy to miss those special areas when we are used to them on an everyday basis but you have done a splendid job here!

You are so right in saying that we see these things around us daily and get pleasure from them but even as photographers we rarely see the photo opportunity in capturing what gives us that pleasure, a delightful play of light and shadows and I for one wouldn’t even have noticed the ditressed paintwork, LOL.,it’s very fashionable in the home, a very elegant composition and image Lois,

Thank you, dear!!!! I’m so glad you understand where I was going with this one … I have examples of it all around me … so much of what I shoot is in my own backyard, literally, or all around me. I don’t get out as much as I should … must put that on my to do list more often!!!! As to the distressed paintwork, housewife that I am, and even tho a lazy one, I do have my pride!!!!! LOL!!!
