Hi Rita!!! This is on top of Blue Knob … it’s in Pennsylvania, not far from Altoona and Johnstown. Blue Knob is a ski resort, and we have a tiny ski cabin within short walking distance of this particular spot. In fact, this is the road to our cabin. Thanks so much for your note!!

Yes, I shot it both ways … I usually do … and vertical was sooo limited in scope … not nearly as much vibrant color!!! Yes, it’s always a tough choice!! But you do see the full height of the trees at the top of the hill, so I guess it’s okay!!

Hi Mary!! It really varies by temperature and light and rainfall, I think. We went up to the cabin every weekend last fall and it changed week by week. I’d have to say November 3rd was peak up on the mountain, which is at 3000 feet, but earlier was gorgeous too.
