This is the best part of the road, it loses any attempt at civilization the further you go with no hint as to where its going or if it will ever lead anywhere. The very southeast corning of the Big Island of Hawaii.
It turned out that it was indeed a lovely drive but scary. This is the last photo I took on this road till we got to the other side, it was just two ruts in spots. Not on the map and we had no idea when it was going to end or where. Figured on an island it had to stop someplace.

We did indeed. I have now found the road in Google Earth – going to have to go back and take a photo of the sign
