A HUGE thank you to my new friend Rick who has the eyes of a hawk for spotting wildlife hundreds of feet away, barely visible to the naked eye. If it wasn’t for him, I would not have seen or captured this beautiful goddess digitally today.
Another HUGE thank you to Steve for putting thee most amazing lens in my hands and driving me to search for the creature that makes my heart palpitate in profound ways.
Sitting on an orthopedic pillow ontop of a milk crate in freezing cold temperatures for hours is so worth it!
Taken in Ontario, Canada in a farmer’s field.
Canon Rebel EOS XS
Lens – EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 IS II

Wonderful flight image. I look forward to being rewarded with one some day. It sounds like you had the time of your life; heart pounding stuff I’m sure
heart pounding stuff indeed! it has already been erased from my mind, too intense to retain, thank goodness for the images. You will be rewarded some day for certain! I only hope to get as close to one as you did with ‘sitting pretty’ I want to gaze in her eyes for minutes and that close. That has got to be the most intense feeling on the planet!
