You’re right, especially when using filters. I think it helped that this was in a deep valley and the sun was barely peaking over the ridge, it was very dark down there when we took our trip.

It’s a good sized waterfall and shooting it straight on was not working out too well. Plus I really wanted to capture the canyon wall behind it. What I didn’t want to do was walk up the stone steps beside the falls, which was quite a hike
