George Eastman House (Kodak)
Mr. Eastman (1854–1932) built his home at 900 East Avenue, Rochester, NY. Construction began in April 1903, and was completed in 1905.
George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film is the full name of the museum.
The mansion is 35,000 square feet, with 50 rooms, 15 bedrooms, 9 fireplaces and 13 baths. Mr. Eastman initially purchased 8.5 acres, but added 2 acres during his occupancy. It is currently 10.5 acres at this time.
The Museum’s mission from the outset was to collect, preserve, and present the history of photography and film.
George Eastman made up the name, KODAK in 1888.

I don’t think he would for the digital camera, since Kodak did do a lot of the first digital camera work. But I think he’d roll knowing I photographed his house using a Nikon and a Canon!

From what I read, he liked the letter “K” and the rest is just letters. It was not meant to stand for anything.
