a wonderful shot Scott I love the silk like water, just so beautiful
Thank you. This was a 20 second exposure. There was a fair amount of water falling so the silkiness did not take a real long exposure. I also had to manage the rest of the exposure. I could use a few neautral density filiters for this purpose. Maybe 3 stops or better for daylight shots like this one.

Love the depth of this one – very pretty.
Thank you. It is uncommon for me to have such a heavy foreground. I think it works in this case.
Excellent shot Scott, great composition and exposure control! Wonderfully done.Brendan

Ok – I want to be sitting on that rock. This is awesome
Thank you. I have visited Gooseberry Falls about six times. I enjoy it each time.
Beautiful shot Scott, looks like I’ll have to make the trip, this time with a decent camera! You have inspired me!
Thank you. There is a lot that can be done with a compact camera. The big thing with water is to use a polarizer. If you cannot add one to your compact camera, you can even try shooting through a pair of sunglasses. The whole idea is to reduce the glare and reflections on the water and rocks.
