Shine on.

Shine on.

“Shine on, shine on harvest moon, up in the sky…..........”

Do you remember being a kid – going on a long car journey at night – tucked up in the back with blankets and pillow – experiencing a child like excitement and anticipation – and being in awe of the big full silvery moon floating along above the car?

Layers of night magic. Power pole pic taken in friends back garden and layered with big full moon pic – given the psuedo HDR treatment then colourised.

Love this…the angle is fabulous. Feel like I’m three, laying in the back seat of the car with my teddy bear. Great magic in this capture.

  • Lynne Haselden replied

Thanks Karen – I have vivid memories of being perhaps 4 years old and travelling for hours to Grandparents for xmas (summer here) with the huge bright full moon and (I think) Laras theme (or something similar) from Doctor Zhivago playing on the radio. Funny how some things are never forgotten.

  • Lynne Haselden replied

Yes, I do remember….and after it got black outside, just staring up at the stars…....ooohhhh, there is the big dipper…I really like this picture because you have also showcased the power lines…....They are in our lives every day and in the pics. so it is good to see them kept there.

  • Lynne Haselden replied

Thanks so much for your lovely words. Yes, I have a thing for power poles and power lines – they fascinate me and I find them perversely beautiful. :)
