Laurie McClave

the oldies

Please don’t laugh your asses off! and I challenge any of you to dig some stuff out of mothballs and post it! especially the over 40s!!!! 60s 70s and 80s ROCK!!!!!!

I think I am 3 and it looks like I just ate!

Happy days at 4

Dig the trailer! We were camping at some desert lake.

My mom always dressed me in red pantsuits…...

12 years and a face full of metal!

Gymspastic! not a smelly wrestler!!!!

Look at that big hair, 1981 and almost as big as Thomas Dodds’
and Oh check the nails dahlink!

I used to design and make all my own clothes, something about wanting to go into fashion design….then I woke up! I designed this an made it myself, the only fancy dress I ever made.
we all have skeletons in our closets LOL! don’t you laugh!!!
Ok here come the 90’s and I know I certainly look different but at least the styles were cooler….I dyed my hair still then so I never knew how much white was under there.hehehe

Me in my studio live work in SF

Oh and thank you for not laughing at my high maintenance days of fake nails and big hair!! I had a fashion burp in my life at around 19-22 It was the early 80s…...You are a Dear!

I must confess…I actually did giggle at the high maintenance 80s shot! But discreetly, over my shoulder…..shhh….don’t think anyone heard. You don’t ever need to apologise to me about that decade and its sins – you’re talking to a woman who liked to dress up as Boy George, right down to the dreadlocks. And I STILL have a Boy George barbie doll, hehe.

Muahahahahah! oh did I say that out loud! The beauty queen thing was forced upon me and I don’t like to think about it too much very painful. It was great to work with the veterans of foriegn wars that year though… those old guys were a hoot and super polite! I was very into Elvis Costello then and still am! Major crushola
