Born and raised in the state of Ohio, I have always been a very active kid. I remember I used to draw and create collages and play “newspaper” with my friends, but never really knew what I wanted to do. I always thought I would get into film doing commercials or shooting music videos, but it wasn’t until my 4th year of college (yes, I know), that I found my job. As a graphic designer by trade, I like to dabble in practically every section of art; whether it be painting, photography, digital, musical, what have you. You are never too old or too untalented to learn something new. I feel that art is an expression of one’s self – almost like an opinion or a feeling. And one thing my mom taught that has stuck with me was, “no one can ever negate you of your feelings.” Something I take to heart everyday—it’s more of an empowering expression to me either in my works, or in my personal life.
