I cant wait,
In a coulple of weeks I am traveling from where I live in Newman to Kunnanura to photograph the Australian Safari with Dirtcomp magazine.

The Safari travels all the way from Kunnanura to Perth and goes through Newman about half way, so I will have about 7 days on the road and I hopeing to not just shoot motor sport, But to take in the Kimberly’s, Broom as much of the north west as I can, and cut sick with the camera!! for myself too.
Cool as!

Wow Mick. What an opportunity. I’ve never been to WA, NT, central or northern Qld. Would so love to do that one day – everyone who goes there comes back just over awed at how beautiful it is. Do you shoot film or digital (or both!)?

It is beautifull over here, but I am getting bored with the contryside around town, It all looks the same to me now, will be goo to get out and travel a bit.
I shoot digital, I used to shoot film and want to do it again but sold my film cameras a long time ago, want to go 645, 6×6 or 6×7 medium format.

yeah, nice.
I thought about selling my film cameras but they’re nothing flash so I figured better to have them than not. I rarely use them now – the zoom on my digital is far better than the zoom on my pentax that cost me $$$$$ 15 years ago. They’re only 35mm too. My eyes don’t easily focus (it’s a real pain, been like that since I was 19 or so) so eventually bought a Minolta with auto focus (otherwise I used to have to rely on lining up the little split bar inside the view finder instead of the image itself. I should get back to film some time.
