Lj this is one of the best shots of wildlife that I have seen lately :). Absolutely stunning. The sharpness, the colours, the pose, everything about the two just came out trumps. Ooohhhh how jealous I feel, honestly :). That is one of those shots that you capture once in a blue moon :).
Look even at the pair, are they male and female? One’s body is bluish and the other is green, its just a perfect match. Not even two of the exact colours, those two differing in colours both vibrant as well just makes this shot an outstanding one :)
And you got them with the wings up and so sharp. :) You can tell how much I love this image can’t you? from the way I just keep going on and on ha :)

Well done, you shoul dbe so proud of this one, well, having glanced your portfolio I shouldn’t be surprised, but heck this one is just beyond any words that I could even attempt to describe how nice it is :)

  • Your very kind Zulu.. I have no idea what sex they are.. They were just sitting there so still looking at me I think.. Probably wondering what the heck I was doing clicking away at them while almost falling into the pond to get as close as I could to them..Hahahahaha..
I am so pleased you like this simple insect shot since much of my images come from my own back yard here are are very common vs: the many shots placed on this sight. So.. Thanks you so much Zulu.. Your support keeps me motivated indeed! Huge tight hug comes with this reply too! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :)

I am glad you explained how you took this – for a moment I thought you had dived in to get this close! :-))

  • Hi John.. I have a small stone wall around one side of this man made pond.. I sit on it alot if not to many snakes around and shoot from there mostly.. I used my 55-200 lens and this was the best size I could get from the distance I was at.. But a card is still cool with me. Thanks for stopping by today~ :)

Looks as though they are poised and awaiting clearance for take-off!!

  • Thanks Ken!!! They were very fun models to work with.. No macro lens here though.. just my 55-200 from abit away.. :)
