Bubble Lofts
This is a friends loft I stay in sometimes when I visit St. Louis… I stay in the red side 2nd floor from the bottom.. .. The yellow one is the neighbors place… Each connected building stands 6 stories tall. Shot thru my window and some distorted broken bubble glass one day playing around with my close up lens.. I liked how each bubble gave a diff perspective of the buildings view.

Terrific and it’s that eye of yours again… wonderful image for a very mundane and banal subject.
What makes this image totally is the refraction… and repetition of it as you quite rightly point out – at different angles… This no doubt you have seen in my 3d work – I love love love playing with lighting reflection and refraction…
Great to see it so beautifully illustrated in a photo though!!!!
LjMaxx replied
I sure have missed ya Zoo.. Thanks so much for this comment.. Yes.. I have seen all your art here.. Love each and every one of them too. Always deversified and perfectly finished with your signature excellence.. :)

Awesome. Bubble Glass in the real instead of a bubble glass software app. I like that. OK well I also like that circles are the nature of life, water, the universe, etc,,,all based on spherical concepts. The two buildings are joined and in opposition at the same time. (different colors/values). The spheres in the fore-ground suggest connection(s) of the two in multiplicity (distinct levels.) The image also has the lines of linear perspective generated by the windows lines retreating. It gives the the over all impression that center positioned subjects are thrust forward or bowed outward. Exceptional work. :)

It’s all good (cyclic),,,what goes around always comes back around. If you didn’t know it’s something to ponder. Glass is an amorphous liquid. Yeah, I know seems pretty damn solid to me too. But if you were to take a micrometer to a sheet of glass in a frame or window,,,sitting vertical for a couple of hundred years,,,,you’d discover it would be several mm thicker at the bottom. In a millennium or two, it would just be a puddle of silicon on the floor. (But who the heck wants to wait that long!) :)
chijude
What a creative mind you have. Love the circles and lines … and like a child, a bubble will always capture my attention .. and then reflections too! I enjoyed your work. Thank you!
