I'm so mad I can scream!!!
I was recently a member of DeviantArt (til about 2 hours ago) as well as here. As some of you may have seen, I have a piece in my gallery called The Witcher. I had created this for a Fan Art Competition (on DeviantART) for a game of the same name.
I had written in the description “All original content”. Meaning that I did not use any of the content that was provided for us (not that the models were mine). I had just recieved a comment on my work that goes like this
“ummm yes poser is very original content!
I mean placing that character and setting up the camera must have been time consuming and very technical!
RESPECT!!!”
So I procede to inform him that I meant that I did not use any Witcher content. I also informed him that he didn’t have to be so rude about it.
I then removed all my work but The Witcher piece, went to his page and found out he had posted another comment on someone elses work to the effect of
“wow poser strikes again.

I then reported him to the Etiquette Policy board.
The stupid thing is that HE’S a 3d artist, and because he has the time and know-how to create his own models, he think that the rest of us that use model packs are wannabes. He replied to my comment and said it was like taking someone’s picture and cutting it up and then putting it together differently and calling it your own. I think that comment would probably get a few photoshoppers mad. This guy has no concept what art is. Just because I don’t “make” my own models doesn’t mean that no creative thought goes into my work.
And isn’t that what art is?

I know, and it’s not like I can’t take negative criticism (believe me I’ve gotten my fair share), as long as it’s constructive. It’s the fact that he pretty much said YOU SUCK, YOU ARE NOT AN ARTIST.

what a creep! and who is he anyway? what kind of greatest artist in the world is he that he feels he can sit there and trash other people’s work? sounds like an inadequate, sad loser.

You should have seen the other girls portfolio that he commented on, it was AMAZING. I’ve seen alot of bryce/daz/poser creations, and I can tell you this girl is good. And he had to nerve to leave a comment like that!!!!

Don’t waste your time and energy on this person, Rhonda!! Those kind of people feel so low themselves that they have to attack others to make themselves feel good!! Doing that kind of thing is probably his whole existence!! He is to be pitied…
