Grasshoppers often love to hide behind branches and leaves when I’m on a photoshoot. They are so talented at telling when I’m looking at them and they will rotate around the plant stem with perfect timing to keep their eyes hidden from me. Once I earn their trust, this hiding behavior begins to modify and sometimes they’ll hop on my hand and play awhile. I find this hide-n-seek exists with butterflies and dragonflies too. It’s so interesting to see how insects interact with humans.
