False alarm….I thought I’d hurt my love, but it turned out OK:)))

You know I love you so…
Would never want to
Hurt you
With my words
When I feel low

It’s so easy
To wound…
The one you care about,
To take their precious feelings
And place your love
In doubt

But know this cherished lover
When I say that I love you…
That I never mean’t to
Hurt you,
With my words
When I felt blue

So from my heart I’m sorry
I didn’t mean to say…
The words that pierced
You heart,
When we spoke
Just yesterday.

Very well put Maureen, and so true, we always hurt those we love the most, it’s just human nature. There is a bonus though! making up can be oh so nice lol.
