Never to ramble
Never to roam…
We were apart
So many long years
When you said goodbye
I stuffed down the tears
Tears of regret,
Tears of woe,
Tears that I shed
So long ago
Tears of grief,
For a broken heart
We both went our way
With a brand new start
Don’t beat yourself up Babe
For saying goodbye
It’s not our’s to know
Or to reason why
Now that I’ve found you
It’s like coming home
Never to ramble
Never to roam…
It’s nice to hold you
In my arms once more
To gaze into those eyes
That I adore
To know that you loved me
Year after year
