I was really moved by the post earlier today by Helen Bascom http://www.redbubble.com/people/hmbascom/journal/1193814-i-have-given-up. The other day my 9 year old daughter was expressing her disgust at the idea of using ‘research’ to kill whales (yes, she’s a budding greenpeace activist!). She said “why can’t the Japanese do ‘research’ on Hello Kitty instead?”. After the Hello Kitty sushi gags, she went away and later returned with a design she said she wanted to put on a T-Shirt. Wrenched!

I’m certainly not a mechanic. Probably the farthest thing from one but there comes a time when one MUST make attempts to repair the car or be prepared to fork out oodles and goodles of $$ for someone more qualified to do it.
