The Man, the Moon and the Wedding

An accidental encounter with a psychiatrist :)

Take a seat :)

Thanks

My first thought when you walked in was…what is a lovely looking woman like yourself doing in my office on such a beautiful day…and did you just roll your eyes? You don’t see it do you?

The beautiful day? Yes…I see it :)

No, the fact you are a lovely looking woman…you don’t see it. When you look in the mirror…what do you see?

Me

Do you like you?

I think you might have the wrong….

When did you lose yourself?

I’ve always been lost

Broken Heart?

I was born with one doctor

You have heart problems in the physical sense?

Yes

Are you on medication for it?

No

I don’t understand?

Very few do

Married? Children?

No. No

Are you in love?

Oui je suis

Friends?

Not many…the less I’m close to, the less I might disappoint.
And the less I might lose.

Lose? as in…

Love and death…yes sir

You intrigue me..

I’ve had that said to me a lot

I’m not surprised and it would more often than not come from a stranger…am I right?

Yes…and unfortunately for them I tend to take ‘you’re intriguing’ for ‘you are weird’ :)

Have you ever tried to take your own…?

Life? No.
I haven’t been entirely happy with what’s been thrown my way at times…but I’ve only ever wanted to die once and that was in place of a friend :)

What would you like to be doing?

I’d like to take a hammock, a pack of cigarettes, a flask of coffee, a bag of chocolate donuts and a glass jar…and I’d like to go hang out on the moon.

Glass Jar?

Yes…to catch starflies. They sing to you…did you know that?

Can I have the referral your physician gave you to see me?

Oh, I don’t have one…I was asked to drop this wedding package off to you by your fiance…she came in to have a look at one of our rooms for your reception and forgot to take the package with her…she phoned and asked if I would mind running it over to you, we are just across the road…here you go :)

Thank you…could you please close the door on your way out?

Sure thing doc…and hey don’t forget to take that package home…will you? ;)

    LittleHelen,
What a delight to read this. Intriging… Hmmm.. I have to say it is so surreal, quirky, poinant and fun. I started to read it and could not stop… Keeper.

I can so see you rolling your eyes at this fool…and rightly so. There’s nothing wrong with a little intrigue, babe; it will never stop those who are worthy from getting close to you. They’re the kind of friends you won’t lose, no matter how far the distance. And the glass jar….sigh...such a perfect touch. x x
