Taken August 2012 with Nikon D90 & Sigma 17-70mm @38mm, f14,6s,iso100, polariser used. Raw file processed to jpeg, no textures!
It feels like ages since I uploaded, I’ve been plagued with illness and computer problems, our main pc died on us, but thankfully my hubby knows a fantastic man ‘who does’ and he fixed it! After all the stress and hassles, we decided to take a couple of days out at the weekends, we’ve been to Portsmouth Historic dockyard ( photos later) and most recently a long day trip to the Torbay area of Devon again. We did it last year and had such a fantastic day that we decided to do it again! This was taken just as the sun had set, a spur of the moment grab my tripod and polariser and hope for the best. I’m quite pleased how it came out :)
Hope everyone is well, and I look forward to a big catch up with you all very soon xx

    Gorgeous low light capture Sarah.

  • thank you so much Richard, it was good to get out and about again, and away from illness and computer problems…which are still plaguing me somewhat! Bumped into a good old friend while I was down here too! She was on holiday with her family for the week, she recognised me because I had my camera to my face!! hahahaha

wonderful capture .. I love the Torbay area .. we go to Torquay for are holidays every year and aleays nip into Paignton for the day

  • small world Angel! I love it down here, it takes us about 2hrs 40 to get here, so as long as we set off early enough, it gives us a really full day of things to do. We did a day trip last year and the kids absolutely loved it! Last year we went to Babbacombe model village, Paignton zoo & finished off with a trip down to Brixham before heading back to Torquay for fish and chips. This year we did the same except we went to Kents cavern instead of the model village. Kids say it feels like a full weeks holiday all in one day, and I’ve got plenty of photos to keep me going for a few months too :)) xx

It takes us 6 to 7 hours by car or 12 hours on the bus to get to the hotel we stay in which right on the front in Torquay. Thats why we go for a couple of weeks .. smile ..

We went to the model village this year .. fabulous fun. Have you been to Cockington Village .. great place .. its an old English village .. thatched roofs beautiful gardens .. we have tea at the Rose Cottage Tea Rooms.

From the hotel we stay at it takes us about half an walk through beautiful countryside .. its great for the kids

We always go to the zoo too .. I took over a thousand photos this year in the 2 weeks we were there

  • we drove down to Cockington on the way back to Torquay last year, sadly it was getting quite late so everything was closed, but it was still such a beautiful place to see. I’ve got a couple of 100 photos to sort through just from one day, I’m keeping fingers crossed the zoo ones have come out ok – I’ve not looked at them properly yet….good excuse to go back if they haven’t ! hahaahaha

Well we are going again next year .. same hotel too .. The Waters Edge .. you might have passed it

  • I’d love more than a day down in the West Country, think we’re going to have to do a lot of saving between now and next year :))
