Back to Twycross zoo again, I’m pretty certain this is baby Okanda and his mum. Okanda has been in the news lately here in the uk, having been unwell, but he’s doing very well now and being very well cared for, so hopefully he’ll soon be reunited with mum and dad.

Oh this is such a wonderful image, these animals are so human in their mannerisms. The way she is holding her baby so casually yet securely and the expression of self awareness as she checks out her fingernails….well it is just amazing!

Love the light and colour in this one – it is very gentle and suits the subject matter. I love the way the mother is holding her baby whilst checking out her finger nails!
