Oh gosh, I saw this in the thumbnail and I hoped it was yours! This is a phenomenal creation! Well done. I’m in awe.
thank you so much Maggie, I was going through last autumn’s photos, found one of my son at the park and one of the wolf and it just happened! The background I found a while ago, -rubyblossom of flickr has some gorgeous ones, I’ve been dying to use this one :))

As someone who is just starting to understand the use of layers this is stunning.
thank you so much John, I treat each photo as lots of pieces of paper all overlaying one another. The majority of layers were for little things such as the shadows, birds, trees or extra grass – I’m prone to being a bit heavy handed sometimes, so a layer for each individual thing I want to paint saves me having to delete and start over

Yes that is exactly how I am seeing layers, I sandwich them. With a couple of exceptions not put any on here … yet!
I have to admit, these little creations are quite new to me. I used to dabble in them a long time ago, but only recently got back exploring the possibilities of saving old photos to use in things like this. Textures and preset backgrounds (either of my own making or like this one from another source) are a godsend and the possibilites are endless….just need a huge hard drive and back up as I’m now reluctant to delete any of my photos just in case I can use them at a later date!
