Taken on our trip to Cotswold Wildlife Park, I nearly missed this wise old bird, he was well hidden behind a bush and it took a bit of doing to capture him at all

Amazing work, Sarah. Love the tones – looks almost 3D.
thank you Maggie, it was another of my happy accidents! LOL working with about 5 texture layers I wanted to slightly alter the colour of the background by adding a gradient map and instead altered the whole image! I liked it so much I decided to leave it as is :)

It gives the whole image a look of ancient wood that has been greyed by sun and weather. It’s a great look. Well done!
thank you Maggie, it’s something a little different for me :)

bless you Polly, thank you very much….it was a very happy accident! LOL
I had about 5 different textures on the go, and I still wasn’t happy with the background shade, so I thought to add a new layer and try and alter the tone of it,but I still had the last layer selected (without realising) I selected the gradient map adjustment layer instead of hue/saturation and this was the result! I’ve tried it again since varying the colours and I do like the almost pencil drawing effect it gives (depending on what colour you were previously using)….giving away all my accidental secrets now! LOL
