Taken with Nikon D90 and Tamron 70-300mm@200mm f4.8, 1/400s, iso125 textures by Shadowhouse creations
Taken at Cotswold Wildlife park, this striking beauty was stood (one one leg!) apart from the rest, and I managed to get a good capture of it through the fence .
Show off, or Scarlet Ibis to give it’s proper title, according to the guide book from the Park, gets it’s beautiful colour from normally feeding on invertebrate animals which contain the pigment carotene, but it has to be given as an additive in it’s food at the Park.
