Absolutely stunning, Sarah. What a gorgeous composition and that lovely blue background creates a lovely dreamy effect for the flower which has just the right amount of DoF. A fave!
Thank you Maggie, I feel out of practise to be honest! The original was sitting with just basic editing on my desktop this morning and I knew I wanted to do something with it. I’m glad I kept the ‘blue sky with white clouds’ image from my ‘dust spot tests’, it makes a fantastic soft texture!

I’ve got a few ‘edits’ that could be shown as they are but I’d really like to do something a bit different with them. I must learn how to do textures and change backgrounds. Anyway, for someone ‘out of practice’ you’ve done a fabulous job. :o)
thank you Maggie, all I really did was overlay the sky/cloud image over the top of the daisy, reduced the opacity, added a layer mask and painted out the daisy a bit more so that it showed through, the bokeh is fab cluster of daisies my mother in law had in her border, sadly most have gone over now, but this one was standing proud still
Ah, that’s the bit I have yet to learn – the layer mask and painting bit. :o)
I only really learnt in this last year, but it has made such a difference in creating something a little bit different
