Taken with nikon D3000 & 50mm lens. The 2 predominant layers of the texture are my 7x great uncle’s Will (he was born in 1680) and the contract of work for my gt gt grandmother who was contracted to work as an apprectice brush drawer for 2 yrs.I used a ’’plaster’’ background texture as well and added a gradient to darken the eges slightly. The heavily perfumed rose was one rescued from my garden before we had a downpour!

You’re so lucky to have a rose garden! Living in this apt. restricts one some! My mom used to grow roses. She had them growing all around the house. Your rose is really remarkable. I’ve never seen one with quite that shading or form. It’s great, and you did a wonderful job capturing its beauty too.

  • thank you :) we don’t have a very big garden but we do try and put as much in it as possible. We’ve 3 varieties of roses, but this ( a double headed one I think) is the most fragrant one, the smell is divine! I did reduce the colour on this to give an aged feel to it, but this is what it actually looks like
