I’m Lise, and my art consists mainly of dogs and popular culture. I do a fair mix of fine art and photography, and a bit of design work.
I am an artist and photographer, having received a qualification as a Visual Artisan from Jyväskylä Educational Consortium. My experience in the field of photography has involved working at a small studio in Eastbourne, England. I have also worked for Kaupunkilainen, a local paper produced by Keskisuomalainen in Finland. Apart from these I have done some commission work, such as promotional photography for Turku University. My thesis, “Ruffs and Collars” involved pet photography and digital painting.
My art focuses largely on popular culture, as well as everyday subjects such as dogs. The techniques I use vary, mainly digital painting (using a Wacom tablet and Photoshop), and traditional drawing with pencils and pastels.
I have held one fine art exhibition at Wanhan Villan Taide/Villa Arttu Käytävägalleria, Hyvinkää Finland – 30.4.-12.5.2012.
