The Paluxy River runs through Dinosaur Valley State Park near Glen Rose, Texas. The rock shelf partially visible under the surface of the water in this photo contains a wonderful collection of dinosaur tracks where numerous kinds of creatures walked the muddy shoreline of an ancient sea approximately 113 million years ago. On this particular day, the sky was constantly changing and churning and dramatic. The rocks in the valley give the clear waters of the Paluxy wonderful shades of green and blue.
