The launch was held at the Melbourne Zoo …and I was lucky enough to be amongst the invited.

Gala Day ...and no rain !
Traditionally on Gala Day, it rains! But not this year though.
This year, the rain stayed away and the crowds came out… there were tv stars, sports stars, big fluffy animal thingys, dancing kids, motorcyclists, musicians, belly dancers …
After the parade a Family Fun Day was held on the waterfront, lots more fun down there too …and still no rain!

The Geelong Throng got together for another barbecue this weekend…. I think it was our biggest turnout yet. We really do have a great bunch of people in our group.

Birregurra puts on a show !
the 2009 Birregurra Weekend Festival was held this weekend. This year was the 10th festival for the small country town.
The sun shone down, and the people came out to play in their thousands…..
