That’s a very solid looking door…resulting in a very solid image. Great contrast in the surfaces of the wood and stone. The lighting sets it all off very nicely.

IMO, this image is one of your best works ever. The placement of the open door in the frame (slightly left) is very sympathetic to the quality of the available light coming in from outside. It’s solid piece of photography that could stand on it’s own in any photo/art gallery or on the front cover of a novel.

Inviting, this back door, the way the light falls through it into the hallway. Yet at the same time, it has something threatening, I guess because of it’s weathered look, as if it has seen many fights.
Anyway, absolutely smashing capture. Simply gorgeous.
