Lack of New Work

Hi to all my new bubble friends, especially frozenfa for spreading the word! :)

I’m just apologizing for the lack of new work on here. Most of the paintings I do are only a few inches across (2.5×3.5) and out of the hundreds of files on my computer, there are only a few which meet redbubble’s pixel dimensions for uploads. :(

I’m starting to produce larger artwork now so things should now start to fill up.

If anyone has any suggestions on how I can increase my pixel dimensions without compromising the quality of the image, then I’m all ears! :) All the paintings are in new homes so re-scanning isn’t an option.

That’s it for now!

HI LIsa! Great to hear from you again :D I too have the same problem like you, some of my pieces don’t meet the pixel requirements…once I used a different cam, it worked. I wish I could help you with the technical aspects but I too am incompetent. You be patient, I’m sure help will be on its’ way soon as some of the other bubblers can give you the techincal advice that you need. :D

Hi Lisa! so far what’s the resolution where you scan your work? is it 300dpi? how about try scanning it at 500dpi? that might help.. or if you photograph your work, i guess using a higher megapixel cam might help.. hmm.. 2.5 inch.. that should by right be possible to be made into a card at least.. try scanning at higher resolution, k? love your works!! XD
    Hugs~!!!

I’ve started scanning my work at 600dpi since joining rb and zazzle which has helped a lot in increasing my pixel sizes.

The problem is with all of my old scans which are at 300dpi. Because the paintings are so small the pixel dimension falls about 200px short of the minimum requirement for a card. All of these paintings are spread far and wide all over the world so it’s impossible to rescan. It’s a shame because there are some little gems amongst them which I’d love to put on cards.

I’ve got hold of Genuine Fractals PrintPro after reading about other people using it to increase pixel dimensions so I’ve been messing with that but I’m not happy with the results. Maybe I’m just being picky…or doing it wrong!...

Thanks for the advice I’ll let you know how I get on.

oh dear.. i thought you always had the original piece.. hmm.. you can try pixelterminator.com .. that’s where i submit my photos to be enlarged. it works pretty darn well.. and since your paintings are done on textured paper (watercolor paper is it?), i think PT might help. they have a try it function.. maybe you can send 1 of your work and see if it helps? =D

    Hi lisa marie..
i think fa might be onto something there…
definitely give pixel terminator a try as she suggests….
i think it may just work to increase the size of your paintings for inclusion as designs here on rb and zazz….. let us know how you go….!!
    cheers, k
