This in between moment, the slice of time when poppies have lost their petals but the stamen remain, this moment is one of my favourites.

    Nice detail shot. Most people forget this stage, just like the before and after blooming.
    I think it’s always more interesting than the actual blooming.

  • We share that sentiment Karen. I am unsure if it is the simplicity once the petals are shed, the vulnerability or the transitory nature – maybe it is a combination of all those things that draw me to this time.
