Innocence

Innocence

This drawing is one in a series of images depicting the male, female energy and interaction. Obviously in this image all is well and the woman child has not begun to really feel the weight of the male energy in negative ways. In the other 2 pieces i portray mid years as being more angst ridden and the later years as more settled as we find our way back. By no means is this commentary all that I feel about my relationship with men as I know that this may be taken as a negative. I also see the good and the balance that the 2 sexes provide.

Interesting piece. I don’t know if it was entirely intentional, but the contrast between the phallic (obelisk) and vaginal (the way the image sort of ‘flowers’ from the center of the page) imageries is intriguing.

Yes the imagery you are referring to is very intentional. This piece is part of a series depicting women and the effects of male energy on them. It is a feminist piece reflecting one of my views on the relationship between the sexes, but not all of my views as I also see the good!
