sigh

I watched the clouds move and change form as I stood with my back to the ivy tower that surrounds my home. I had a serene moment after an Everest of internal squabbling.

Pink dusk watched on as I dug my heels into my choice.

You my reader have no idea what I’m really trying to say. It has always been difficult to dip my quill into the exact framing of a moment. You’d think I’m crazy. I have always invited metaphors and symbols to my writing tea party. Words are my wishes come true.

I bite my lip
a habit

Don’t scare away the people. Use rhyme and reason. Be practical and floral.

Bite harder on the lip of fear.

captivate
and dip in resin
the open wound voice.

be patient.
Yes Mother
after I catch the alley cat

straighten the thorns from your blood soaked brow.
sit straight.
smile.

tend your moonshine garden
cut down
the too long night.

Don’t scare away the people. Use rhyme and reason. Be practical and floral.

Sever the lip.

sigh
