on a known comfort horizon

I cast the first stone
against my skin

I willed
the absolute soul bloom

I ventured into unchartered stone age territory
my child self slipped beneath my wing

and I had to stay
for a time

a voice spoke
you are old enough to be a star woman

see into your own eyes

and I had to go
for a time

I cast the first shadow
against those gone

I willed
the truth or I shall die

and perhaps
I shall
weave the darkest hour
or the highest peak
of the nutcracker
water into wine
a yellow brick road
ruby slippers wrapped in thorns
and a dark hermitic cave

but believe me the beautiful child
safely beneath my in love wing

what ever this work with the camera has done to your cells it is now half in and half out.. (freely round the cave) winged and in flight.. the questioning you remains but seems to feel more and care more that what is true shall never abandoned you. This part of you that is clearly a mystic and a mother calls my heart. you beauty and loving friend. xoxoxoxoxo

  • you are right, there is that part of me that wants out of the cave and the other parts stays within…you know me so well.

the part that stays true is belief no matter where I reside…. and friends such as you, well I’m dancing and you know what that means…
I just note the photo is a very tired Lisa but it is a true one LOL xoxoxoxo

Well Lisa, it seems you’re taking big steps out into the world, I have no doubt the beautiful child shall remain also. Seeing into your own eyes sounds like a great way to figure out what you’re really thinking. I like the picture, you look dark and mysterious ;-) x

  • I’m taking different steps because why not ;) as for the dark well tis late and I’m tired but yes I am mysterious….catch me if you can LOL xox

Darling Lisa, this is stunning work and your image is heavenly. I love the mystery of it. Your eyes penetrate and command attention. Those last three lines….LOVE them.
    love YOU xxx

  • Hey Darling Christie,

Tis a new year and as such I’m going to do things slightly differently well at least attempt to. I honestly think the darkness you see is tiredness. Thanks for being a constant gentle love
