26.5.12 a bit of blur and Vivaldi
It has been awhile since I’ve posted a walking journal, truth be told I’ve not done a great deal of walking, for this and that reason. Yesterday was almost miserable cold; you know the type of cold that seizes your very bones, so each movement seems to bitterly hurt. What is a girl to do? Turn the heater on, even if you keep telling yourself you are weak it is not even winter yet. Select Vivaldi, turn the dial on your speaker to more than half way and sit in front of the heater, close your eyes and just be. This is exactly what I did for most of the day, and it was so utterly warming and beautiful, can you believe I felt guilty, I felt so decadent, I punished myself by lacing up my runners and forcing myself to brave the cold and what would be half way into a walk a deluge, and me with no brolly. Just before the rain came to wash me away, I took a few walking photos, literally while walking, I rather love blur and movement in photos, I think because I see myself as a blur of bits of bobs.

Oh those guilty pleasures… Number six it a real corker Lisa, I hope you warmed up again when you got home :) x
you know I had a such a laugh to myself as in reality I love my walks so not really a punishment at all, but then again it was bloomin cold and my little place was toasty warm. But I’m glad I did get out. X

I should feel more guilty, I stayed in bed for almost the entire day! : – )
one of these days I’m going to stay in bed the entire day, hopefully with a lover :) hehe X

Hmm, I have been contemplating a walk this morning too…yes, no, yes, no…you have tipped my scales Lisa, brrrrrrrrrrr!
Sandra xo
Darling Sandra,
I hope you do, it is crisp that is for sure but there is something to be said for the crisp against the skin XXXX

You know what? Seeing your work reminds me so much of my own- lots of blur and grainy goodness- I think it’s absolutely gorgeous. :) Now I feel guilty because I spent all day in PARADISE. You would have cried to be out there (yes, you would have). A creek with a slated waterfall, that cascaded into a waist deep whirlpool, like a jacuzzi, tucked away in the mossy green woods. It was blistering hot today and I laid down on the waterfall as it thundered over me. What a rush! Just jumped right in it. I did think of you! (Are you crying yet?)
hehe…
xo
yes I"m crying
wish you could see me, tears are falling into my mouth and the saltiness of them, makes me believe that I am alive. What a stunning scene you’ve painted, how I do adore being immersed in fresh river water. Thank you so much, Birgitta X

a warm cosy room with Vivaldi followed by a brisk walk in crisp air… not quite hedonistic, but close enough for me to enjoy your blurry day. I leisurely raked autumn leaves in the morning and listened to Bach in the arvo… the day was made for it. xoxo
oh I love raking leaves :)
raking reminds me of growing up, clearly one of my chores hehe I’ve Bach on now xxx

A dismal day which you made more of than I did! And agree with the others, no.6 is iconic, love it.
It turned out to be a very special day, indeed. I had no idea it would be so….and that I love. Thanks

Yes, these images do give one a sense of movement. I’m so glad that you decided to brave the weather and go for a walk and record your journey to share with us. It is comforting. Thank you, lovely Lisa:-)
Thanks R,
so glad you feel comfort, now I know the day was meant to be exactly as it was. :)

I too love the blur Lisa. When a passenger in a car, I often take photos out the window, just to see what blurry oddities arrive, like below between Warrnambool and Ballarat:

As for _ I see myself as a blur of bits of bobs_ – THAT, and so much more dear friend xxx
I miss taking photos while on a country retreat drive, it was one of the magically things, Mark and I used to do.
miss you Deb xoxoxo
