i didn’t think i could do much with this photo but i took a risk anyways! and i’m glad i did.

since i’ve had alot of people ask me how i did this technique, i will just say it here.

so i used adobe photoshop cs3. i don’t know what program you use, but in this program to get the skin a lighter colour [doesn’t always work, it really depends on the amount of warm tones are in the photo..with this photo as you can see there was alot of reds and oranges] you go to IMAGE than APPLY IMAGE then where it says “blending” click on SOFT LIGHT and on “channel” click on RED and it should change your image. then you play with the colour balances to get the result you’re looking for. for the smooth skin, use surface blur then erase whatever things you don’t want to be blurred [usually the hair/eyes/lips/fingernails/clothes/background] but thats totally up to you. there are excellent tutorials on youtube check out iceflowstudios hes got great stuff!
