Technical note: This is a compilation of 4 photos – the eye (cropped from a face shot and enlarged), the printed circuit board, the trees at the bottom and the woman face barely visible on the left side. All images were layered in PSP X2, duplicated to several layers, selective erasing, coloring, sharpening/softening and other effects performed on each layer until getting the desired effect.

I have just had a health scare about eyes, which fortunately turned out to be a false alarm. It’s made me appreciate my sight more. My own subjective impression of your work here is that it portrays the miracle which we call “seeing” as far more complex and sophisticated than anything we (so far) can do with technology.When you think you are going blind and you think about all the beauty you are going to miss suddenly you don’t take it for granted any more. What is particularly noteworthy about this work is that it isn’t overdone; you know when to stop. Well done.

That’s a very interesting interpretation, not what I had in mind, but meaningful and provoking by itself. I like different views on the same work. It’s common with abstracts, but this is not an abstract, so a different interpretation is even more exciting. Thank you!
