Endli-Knot
This is an original Celtic knot that I created from a modified trinity knot. Done in Prismacolor colored pencils.
The type of fish which makes up the three rings is known as the saddled bichir, (Polypterus endlicheri endlicheri), is one of my all-time favorite fish. Some people think they look like snakes, but I think they look like miniature dragons, especially with all their dorsal fins, which look like spikes. Play on words of “endless knot”.

Ive never seen one handled like this, with a realistic snake and the dream snakes in rainbow colors. You do such nice work, I love looking at it.

These actually are not snakes, but a type of fish called a bichir fish. But thank you very much for your kind compliments! :)

Absolutely wonderful Rebecca!
I have played around with celtic knotwork and really know that a mathematical mind is needed to understand them. Animals were often worked into such patterns and I really admire the “modern” way in which you have incorporated your favourite fish here.
Very well done indeed!!
