THOUGHTS – not rhyming – STONEHENGE

Stonehenge
Powerful circles …
Towering monoliths …
We walk … we wonder
what souls reach to us through
the mists …
We tread in ancient footprints …
Dew encrusted blades of grass
capture the sun’s light … shine … glisten
Our souls soar …
and weave in patterns … welcoming
catching … clutching light …
We live … we breathe … we see
we love …

Feeling as if I could protect myself behind the monolyths.
Winter sun…. white as a moon.
Fascinating… the way that gravity is overcome and in a tense effort the stones , like projecting the voices of our souls… are turned into “messengers of Logos”...
They vinculate our Flesh with the Speaking voice of our Inner God.
    Half dreamnt about it…
in your imagining… my soul there.
Rosa (thanks a lot for the mail and information… very useful… I will study it with determination… always finding intimidated by technolocy…. puuffff! Love for you Lin)

Thank you so much Rosa. I love to read your words and thoughts.
Stonehenge is a wonderful place, especially if you can get close to the stones (on very rare occasions).
Funny how you can change the atmosphere totally with a different sky and a texture like mist – this was actually mid-summer solstice.
You’re welcome re the mail – hope it is useful. It took me quite a while to work it all out, but worth it in the end.
    Thank you.

love it has a real otherworldly feel im always fasinated by why these places where built there are so mant theries and how did they know to work out mathmaticaly hoe perfect to biuld it there are other outer rings allso most poeple associate it with the druids but it was built befor that they got the stone form miles away so much effort and knowledge in moving and building at a time when man was so supposedly limited in knowledge we all know about the solstice aspect but there are so many other things that it dose in the summer and when you add the outer rings its mind boggling

  • linskudd replied

Thank you Don. Yes, I agree, it is a fascinating place – and so much we don’t know and probably never will – all lost in the mists of time.
It is time I visited again I think. ;o)

Very well caught ! A big job on the cloning too, and a nice result. If you didn’t put that photo there it would be almost impossible to tell they had been removed.

Thank you James. I think the grass could do with a bit more work – there is a slight line where the two people where standing – aaaargh!

While i was living in UK there was talk of a motorway passing right beside stonehenge! I do pray this does not go ahead as it would surely lead to further damage!
This is an awesome picture and I agree with the otherworld feel… like realms crossing or co-existing (as they do….)
    kudos!

Thank you for your gracious comments on my work. I have come here to find such fine work. I so appreciate the look see at how you got to this grand piece. Both instructional and inspirational. I am going to go play with some Stonehedge shots I have because of you. :) I am retired as well and entertaining myself with photography. Isn’t it great to have time to indulge in personal pleasures?

    Thank you for your comment.
I couldn’t agree with you more. I love being my own Master and not having to get up for work, knowing that I can spend the day as I wish, for the first time in my life, being a little bit selfish! ;o))

  • linskudd replied

Oh – BTW – I look forward to your “play” with your Stonehenge shots.
