Thank you theyellowfury. It always amazes me the difference you can obtain by combining images. I remember working in the darkroom with 2 images and how difficult it was!!!! Or, even taking 2 images in the same space on old fashioned film! BTW my youngest is Gemini!!!!!
Don’t worry, I turned out lovely. Hopefully there’s a bit of art in him. And if his mother’s anything to go by I’d say you have a potentially powerful man.
So glad you turned out lovely! ;-)) Seriously – he’s a great lad – we’ve had our ups & downs (but then who doesn’t). They’re all great kids – thank goodness.
Thanks James. ;o) Did you follow the link through from the journal. It was just a “for instance” you can do this and here’s how. You didn’t have to comment, but I do appreciate it. Thank you so much.
The lovely Rosa Cobos added this comment on my Journal ~ I love her insights into images ~ so have reproduced it here for you.
I have had the chance to meet your wonder… in which words and image blend so well.. It is a very sensual feeling to see the droplets and the sunflower… and it is as if sun itself would shrinking with a sudden cold….a shivering… And you know you are a master of texturizing…. adding new dimensions to your pictures. Rosa (thanks a lot for your visit… I will properly answer to your comment on the thread… have a kiss…..)
Thank you Rosa, for your kind words. The sunflower somehow reminded me of Africa, and the water drops seemed like tears. It seemed to me that Africa might represent the heart of us all?
Dear Lindsay.. It is okay really good to see my comment here. I agree with you… blending different images is a thrill… and the most is the capacity of doing it in an intuitive way, so that the result is exactly what our unconscious is trying to emerge fro its bottom. I’d rather feel and beleive that life is much more a matter of synchronicity rather than cause-effect movement….but our mind is trained to beleive that it is the latter. So if you get for example…the moon… and the pond…and even your own eyes…then you will know that the three of them are forming a life situation functioning at the same time…and that it is not that when the moon.. meets the same angle than the water will be reflected for that…it is not… what about the clouds… what about a big stone fallen on the pond, what about a sudden snow tempest… what about my eyes tired… what about?... so if you see tears and the tears are Africa painfully struggling for her survival then… it is likely to be so. And I…..heartly “beleive” it. Tired eyes… tired tears…. heart adrift.. in a lonesome pathway. If it does not rain lakes… then…the sand will take my salt.. and the dew-tears will moist the the grains. And so… Rosa (thanks a lot for your help dear Lin. I frankly do not understand why some persons can be so rough….I guess it is that they should be there…like statistical rates….and we have to take the whole lot… with patience. I understand you)

Good on you. Overlaying textures is a good way to use them without making it look like you did.
