Tea? Or coffee?
I tried for an oriental feel to this image, using twisted/tortured willow branches, bamboo and a cup & saucer from a Japanese Coffee Service (which was given to my parents on their marriage in 1946).
The cup & saucer has taken on a life of it’s own – as a face has appeared within the dark recess of the cup. If I had tried to achieve this, I would not have been able to do it!

Fantastic image….I really like what you’ve done here. The juxtaposition of everything just works so well…love the way the cup and saucer come off the picture plane…and also the stronger colour just gives this the finishing touch :-)
linskudd replied
Thank you Chris. I was surprised to find a face within the cup when I uploaded the image. I hadn’t noticed it before! And, if I’d tried to do it, I wouldn’t have been able. Strange the way these things occur. Thank you again.
