Dedicated to my sister Suzann.. this is my favorite shot of the day sissy!
Showed my sister this wonderful place to test out her new camera she had just bought that day.. the trails were very icy and treacherous.. but being the adventurous gals we are, we made the best of it.. holding back little twigs and branches so we could walk down the sides of the trails.. and helping each other down the steep sides of the river bank to capture shots like this..
It was a wonderful time of sister bonding, laughing and sharing camera tricks and tips with her..
We are at a pretty high point here along the trail looking down, and it was a breath taking view to see the water and yet the snow and ice that had not left the river yet.. and the sandstone rock island below that this area is known for.
Stand stone has been a building material used in our towns since their founding…churches, store fronts, hotels, court houses.homes and foundations.. stepping stones, walls, it is beautiful and very sturdy..
